Ah, fusion jazz—a delightful blend of jazz improvisation with elements from rock, funk, and R&B. It’s a genre that’s vibrant, innovative, and full of surprising twists.

One of the seminal albums in this genre is Miles Davis’s “Bitches Brew” from 1970, which really pushed the boundaries and opened up new possibilities for jazz music. Another great artist to explore is Herbie Hancock, especially his album “Head Hunters”. Both of these albums are fantastic starting points if you’re delving into fusion jazz for the first time.
